The Stone cut out without hands.

As you looked, a stone was cut out without hands, it struck the image on its feet of iron and clay, and broke them in pieces ... the stone that struck the image became a great mountain and filled the whole earth.
(Daniel 2:34-35)

The stone cut out without hands.

The five prior kingdoms, including Christianity, have all been crafted by human rulers, but the Stone, ‘cut out without human hands’, that strikes the image, is God’s doing.

The kingdom that the ‘God of heaven’ sets up will be an everlasting kingdom and will not be left in the hands of another people; no professional priesthood required.

In the days of those kings, the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that will never be destroyed, nor shall this kingdom be left to another people. It will break all these kingdoms into pieces and bring them to an end. It will stand forever.
(Daniel 2:44)

Human tools profane God’s altar.

When God gave Moses instructions about the building of altars, he said;

If you make me an altar of stone, you will not build it of hewn stones; for if you wield your tool on it, you profane it.
(Exodus 20:25)

And, when God gave Moses instructions about building an altar on mount Ebal, he was very specific about the prohibition of any iron tools being used to shape the stones.

There you will build an altar to Yahweh, your God, an altar of stones. Do not wield an iron tool on them but build an altar to Yahweh, your God, of uncut stones.
(Deuteronomy 27:5-6)
