The term ‘golden calves’ refers to the man-made ‘Traditions’ of Christianity that take precedence over the commandments of God; a reference to Aaron’s golden calf (Exodus 32) and Jeroboam’s golden calves (1 Kings 12:28). The term also provides a useful contrast to the equally-oppressive, idolatrous, ‘holy cows’ of the Vedic religions.
Christianity’s professional priesthood have fallen into the same idolatrous trap as the Pharisees and Sadducees who opposed Jesus Christ.

Christianity’s professional priesthood dictate ‘what to know about the Lord’ instead of honouring the new covenant promise by teaching disciples ‘how to know the Lord’; equipping disciples to “Know the Lord” by learning to recognise the ‘law within them’.
The Six Golden Calves of Christianity.
By worshipping these six Traditions, Christianity’s professional priesthood have created a false religion plagued by sectarian division and internecine persecution.
How much blood has been spilled defending and promoting the six, idolatrous golden calves of Christianity?
These six, idolatrous golden calves are a stumbling block to spiritual seekers and a hindrance to every disciple’s spiritual growth and maturity.
- The Church, a human organisation ruled by a professional priesthood, the clergy.
- The Bible, a supreme authority rendered void of the Holy Spirit’s illumination.
- The Creeds, defining 'what God is’ instead of knowing 'who God is’.
- Original Sin, breaking a foundation principle of God’s divine Law.
- Substitutionary sacrifice, resulting in a perverted understanding of God’s justice.
- The Work of Jesus Christ, missing the real power of His mission.
These six ‘Traditions’ have given rise to a plethora of equally-insidious, sectarian traditions over which Christians love to speculate, argue and separate.
Why I left Christianity.
I left institutional Christianity in 1987 and gave up the Christian label in April 2005 when I finally realised that "Christianity is a meaningless franchise" and that Christianity’s professional priesthood would never relinquish their power over the laity; that the clergy would never honour the new covenant promise in Jeremiah 31:33-34, a promise fulfilled on the first Day of Pentecost after Christ’s ascension;
I will put my law within them and I will write it on their hearts; I will be their God and they will be my people. No longer will anyone teach another, saying, ‘Know the LORD,’ for they will all know me, from the least to the greatest, declares the LORD. For I will forgive their iniquity and remember their sin no more.
The Church of Jesus Christ is a Family.
I will only publicly address the nature of the true Church of Jesus Christ because a right view of the Church is the foundation for effective discipleship; everything else is addressed in the context of a loving, discipleship relationship; in loving dialogue, not contentious debate.
I aim to demonstrate that the true Church of Jesus Christ is the Family, a dynamic, multi-generational community, not a human organisation lorded over by 'hireling shepherds' (John 10:12).

Love is the hallmark of the Church.
I give you a new commandment, “Love one another as I have loved you"; the world will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.
If an enemy were to attack the Church of Jesus Christ, is it not reasonable to assume that such an attack would, first and foremost, be directed against the very institution God ordained for his Church, the Family?
Such an enemy would do everything within its power to undermine Christ’s love in His disciples.
The family is the coalface of spiritual warfare!
